I have a friend with a DA40/G1000 and a Cirrus on-line (FBO).

I am analyzing the engine data from the Cirrus for him and asked if he could download the engine logs from the DA40. Well he didn't know so I thought I'd ask you.

Can all G1000 write engine data to the SD cards or is that an option/new models only kind of thing?

If so how do we do it? Or where in the manual can I find it?

Thanks
Joe

New...apperantly some makes have had this feature for longer than others.

I saw this link http://www.cirrusreports.com/ somewhere the other day...No idea if it answers your question but it does give better insight into the capability of the process.

Joe,

On the DA40 you need the G1000 software version 321.22. I think 321.19 introduced it but there's an MSB that requires an upgrade to .22 if you have .19.
