During a preflight yesterday I noticed the fuel vent under the engine above the nose wheel was draining a significant amount of fuel (The fuel tanks were not full (maybe 20 gallons in each wing) and the plane had been sitting for 5 days.) When I sumped the fuel underneath the engine one of them (the middle one from left to right looking from the side) had no fuel.

I took the cowling off and did not see anything of concern.

Since I had never had this issue before I decided it is safer to stay on the ground.

Anyone have an idea if there is a problem here?

Had you run the fuel pump? That vent should be the induction system drain.

Oh and Charger, Magnum, 300 or Cherokee?

This might be a silly question, but what was the fuel selector set to?
