Fuel in a "broken" airplane

I built this portable 100 gallon tank to haul mogas to the airport. I started 10 years ago and have run 7500 gallons of fuel through it so far. Saving about $10,000. That is about $ $1,000 a year, that means more flying. :D

Dual filters ensures clean fuel. I check for ethonal.

Friends don't let friends fly behind two strokes.

A buddy was running pump fuel with ethanol and had an engine failure on takeoff when his aircraft grade fuel lines swelled shut.

OOPS.

(Amphibian on a long lake. Coasted to a stop with no problem.)

I use the SAE (automotive) spec stuff myself. One less thing to worry about. :D

But they are great fun! :D. You have to be ready for the engine quitting, but if maintained well they are "okay". I only had 3 engine outs.
