The linkage shown in the attached picture (from Continental fuel control) obviously changes the mixture based on throttle position. This linkage is clearly adjustable along with the idle adjust screw. My question is: how do you calibrate this adjustment and know when it is correct?

The distance between the arms is critical, not normally field adjusted. Fuel adjustment(idle and mixture)-[low and hi pressures]needs to be performed per the service manual process and limits. Find a mechanic with appropriate instruments and experience!
