A dear friend who is almost 94 has decided its time to give up flying and building. This plane is his labor of love for the last several years. The plane is a scratch built replica of a Republic P47 thunderbolt. The fuselage is complete and ready for covering The left wing is complete and is ready for covering. Some of the instruments are installed. The plane is offered as a project and without the engine The engine already mounted is a Rotec 9 cyl (150hp) radial which is brand new and still pickled . If the recepient wants the engine we will sell for $15,000 which is a 1/2 of what the owner paid for it. The fuel tank is also installed. this plane will make a great project for the right person, or a excellent display. Plane is free, engine is not. When we get it down from the rafters I will get more photos posted. FOB Sedona Az. AS IS WHERE IS Call: bob stephens 928-300-4045 txroup@aol.com
Why does a deal like this always come along at the most inappropriate time for me.?? And only a few hours drive away.
I don't think anybody is going to build a full scale wooden replica of a Jug. But then, these days, nothing surprises...
Things to consider, Not to keep anyone to discourage from buying this. But thing I saw that caught my attention There are no plans or blue prints, there is no landing gear. The engine is a 150 horse. and experiment .
Working on a 82% Bearcat at the moment. I have the room but not the time at the moment. She looks like she would fly. The design looks familiar... Slightly bigger than a WAR, but It's definitely not a WAR. Is it still available? Joseph Labert, Board member Replica Fighters Association
Bob - you're doing your freind a service. I would love to see this project completed. Its a single seat, correct? What plans / drawings are available, if any?
