Found Spike another car...

Send a message to Dave at "Mycardave" in Ft. Myers. He hauls crews between Page and Regional and loves the old town cars. He usually drives them ~400k miles.

Wayne. Send him my way too. I have a late model cop car that's all there, needs a bit of work, that I can let go for reasonable.

Unless someone wants the Interceptor engine and trans for a project.

He only wants the town cars.

Is he here, or are you saying to send him a message somewhere else?

Not my listing on that site, just a place in town that repairs salvage/auction cars (as best as I can tell) and seems to do it right.

Just ran across the listing and was joking with Spike because he likes the biguns... Heh.

You mean zip codes on wheels? Yup! That's our Spike.

Just yakkin'. After reading your post I remembered how Dave loved the old tanks and thought the new ones were only good for a about half the miles.

That is, if the ad speaks truth, a sound value. As Wayne notes, livery operators take Town Cars, reliably, for many hundreds of thousands of miles.

Me, I'm more of a Cadillac guy, though I love my 1991 Custom Cruiser (see pic at left). Had to perform a repair this weekend, though- flat tire! $13.00 to fix at Stroeher & Son, good to go.

TiVO picked up an episode of Gearz over the weekend where they dropped an LS1 engine into an old Custom Cruiser SW. Included were some scenes with a family loaded up, complete with backward facing kids, as they smoked off some tires and did power donuts in the parking lot.

I had a 92 Town Car. Bought with 147k, sold at 167k because I wasn't driving it much anymore. Loved the thing - it was a great old boat. With the upgraded suspension bits I did it hanled well, too. Love those old boats, although the 80s Cadillacs are my real favorites. Had an 84 Sedan DeVille I wish I'd kept.

I have a '75 town car in the garage. 460 cubic inch. 8mpg

I thought I would see some thing like this :
