I am absolutely amazed with this company (if the news is correct)

The epic Velocity, a 5 place VLJ, has gone from paper to flying prototype in less than 6 months. If that is true, I am absolutely amazed.

Anyway, it will be an experimental class product while sales underwrite the certification process (rumors).

Pretty neat imo. It can be loaded with full bags, full people, full tanks, and still be under gross.

What do you guy think? I am sure there are more expert opinions out there.

The landscape is littered with the corpses of companies who tried to certify and market light jets.

Be afraid (for your deposit), be very afraid.

How does it do on 2200' grass strips?

Well, up to this point Epic has done what they've said, when they've said on both the LT and the twin jet. And I bet the Velocity will follow the Canadian program to certification just as the LT -> Dynasty is doing. That said, there are still plenty of places for this thing to slip. But the LT is a very fine turboprop single. And THAT experience will make a difference.
