Hello guys,

I'm sharing a video of my IR training in Florida, I'll be happy to receive suggestions, coments, critics, whatever about both video/edtion and my skills flying as long as they make me become a better pilot/editor, or just to solve someone's questions about flight training. I kinda understand what having to chose a school and where to do it means and all the headache it takes... I started recording my flights so they could help me checking out my mistakes and help me improve, and it does help. Also, I'd like to get some tips about what you try to do to reduce the stress of workload, for me it's even harder sometimes since I have to deal with english (I'm from Spain).

I hope y'all like it and as I said I'll be happy to receive sugestions, etc.
Thank you! :)

I'm like you but in reverse. I'm from the US but starting to fly in Argentina, and ATC only speaks Spanish at the airport where the flight school is (it's called Morón). So instead of "downwind", it's "inicial", and instead of "base", it's "basica", and "holding short of runway 02 ready for departure" is "a 90 de pista 02 en condiciones". Your English in the video seems to be much better than my Spanish, so you're doing fine. Plus you have a million youtube videos to learn from with English ATC comms. There aren't many with Argentine Spanish! Here's one example from Morón (SADM) to Rosario (SAAR) via Palomar and San Fernando: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMdfy5TwTVY

suerte!

Oh why are you doing it in Argentina? If you're american isn't it better to do it in the US? Better economy and jobs right? (Although 1500hours are required). I wish you good luck with your training, and if you need some help with spanish atc feel free to ask me! It's a bit different from Spain though, but I can help anyway!
Nice video, is it yours?

I already have a US private pilot license, but I'm living Argentina and I want to continue flying while I'm here. The US is definitely a better place to do any kind of general aviation. That said, I am looking forward to doing a cross-country to Patagonia: down the Atlantic coast of Argentina, over to the Andes, and back to Buenos Aires. Plus, I'm learning a few things here that you don't really learn in the US - like using a real NDB for navigation (they still use them down here!). No GPS down here.

The video isn't mine... just one I found on youtube. I don't speak Spanish anywhere close to a native level!

Nice so enjoy this experience and learn a lot, traveling and discovering new places and ways of life and fly in this case will make you a better pilot, that's what I started realizing here in Florida, so keep flying and have safe flights!

Pd: We use NDB in Spain too and some planes have no GPS either.
