Interesting. I know Bob a very little bit, nice quiet guy with a really good set of ears and the most expenisive pair of speakers I've ever heard music through.
I'm surprised he hasn't won before. He's only mastered a gazzilion gold and platinum records. This guy is considered the best in the biz.
Someone once said to me, "there's only two things I know:the Rolling Stones are the best rock and roll band in the world, and Bob Ludwig is the best mastering engineer in the world".
Bob was in the audience of a show I was doing sound for in Portland. Sort of equal to demonstrating a landing to Chuck Yeagar. Nerve wracking.
