For Tony and anyone interested - Gliding

I liked the clip and the music, but....
in my real life soaring experience, glider flying and the music in this clip don't match.
Thanks for posting this, Richard

If there was a song that went like this:
Verse 1: Wahoo Wahoo, Yes Yes Yes, Excellent
Verse 2: Crap &*($ OH man! Wheres that cloud coming from!?
Verse 3: Wahoo Wahoo, Yes Yes Yes, Excellent
Verse 4: OH crap Im really low this time, pick out a field, whew a thermal!
Verse 5: Wahoo Wahoo, Yes Yes Yes, Excellent
Verse 6: Son of a %&^*( Pick out a field, turn final, stop quick.

That would be the song to describe most of my soaring experience.

If gliders had wheel pants you and Jesse would be two peas in a pod. For some reason, your little ditty reminded me of Jesse and his building story.

Today I was watching a stationary cloud form, disperse, and reform. Today was a great day for gliding. If I had a glider.

Re: For anyone interested - Gliding

I'm trying to find an older song that reminds me of soaring.

It's from the mid 60's, Germany, and it's called "Ich Mochte *Fleigen"
(Translation:"I like *flies" [noun] , but also means I like "*to fly" [verb])

but.... the song is about how one feels when in love. Sung by a German girl, I've seen it as a album cover or maybe a poster, but I can't find the lyrics, or, a copy of the record.

This song was ( kind of tongue in cheek, ) the theme song of the glider club I flew with in Germany back then. We played it at all the special occasions.

Anyone know of this record? where .... downloads, lyrics, artist name?

TIA
