I saw this at the aircraft museum in Oakland Ca. A while back, and ran across this picture while rummaging around the hard disc.
It sure would makes quick work of the calcs on a large plane such as the seaplane it was used in. The back side was (is) a mass of gears to control the pointers. If I can find it. I might have a pic of the back side. If I find it I'll post as well.
