If I may ask--why did you buy two in the first place?

Here's a picture of the article written about this plane and some pics of the 2001.

You just bought the 2006 within the last couple of months, didn't you?

I bought both of them within the last couple of months. Just took delivery on the 2001 two weeks ago. I had a $5400 annual (split with prior owner) done on it including the 1000 hour wings off and gas tank removal inspection. Had them take the rudder off for inspection too. Its faster than the 2006.

How much faster? Any idea why??
About 3-4 kts. In 2004 Diamond went to a taller gear for a government contract. My 2006 has that gear. I suspect it adds a little more drag.

The 2006 has a better ramp appearance since it sits higher. The tail is several inches taller. I can walk under the 06 without hitting my head. The 01 I have to pay attention or I smack it. :arf:

I posted some pictures of the 2001 several postings above.

I'm curious. 3 planes, 2 for sale -- what gives? 2 used DA20s bought recently. Were you thinking of starting a flight school? I'm just, you know, wondering.

No, 3 planes, 3 for sale. Maybe he's gonna step up to a useful plane.

The short story is I sold my business and have too much free time on my hands
