If I could, I would have made this part of the other post. OK, this poll should help explain what flying means to while considering your financial investment in it.
 
What about an answer that it is fun and thats why I chose it for a career?

I keep trying to figure a way to convince the insurance company to feed my flying addiction. For some reason they won't buy into flying is cheaper than the nutter farm in the long run...
 
Right now it is serious fun...but I hope it also turns into a seriously fun business one of these days!

Came pretty close to having the answer for me. 95% of my flying at this point is occupational, although I will occasionaly spend some money to fly something cool and fun just for jollies or to do an airtour with family and friends of someplace I'm visiting. I like checking out in foreign countries, I have a collection of Day VFR licenses.
