Flying low over NYC. Man-made object clearance, who needs it?

That said - if I interpreted it correctly, they are using a long distance remote control link to fly the plane? Like miles away? If so - kind of terrifying to have the RC plane flying around the crowded Hudson river airspace.

The camera appears to be really high quality, but there's no way they'd be able to see GA traffic approaching from either side.

As long as they stay WITHIN 500/2000 feet of manmade objects, we should never have an issue.
