Hi

I'm flying to Salt Lake City tomorrow for a week...

Any recommendations for interesting aviation activities in the area ?

I am contemplating the possibility of a sightseeing flight in the region if the weather cooperates...

Would love to get some suggestions :yesnod:

Alon, Send a PM to Gary Shelby. Just Gary on the board. I think he rented a DA40 out of SLC.

Hill Air Force Base, about 30 minutes north of SLC, has an awesome aviation museum open to the public. They have just about one of everything ever to fly in the Air Force (http://www.hill.af.mil/library/museum/)

I'm based out of Ogden (KOGD) about 40 mins north of SLC. My standard sightseeing trip for out of town visitors is to fly East through one of the canyons, then over Pine View reservoir, then south over Park City and Deer Valley, then I80 through the canyon and up I15. The entire trip is about 30 minutes in my DA40. For longer, north east over Bear Lake to Jackson is about the prettiest flight you can take. PM for details.
