Guess who likes to do this aside from me? Doctors. Many of my adult learners, are MDs or MD/PhDs. Maybe it is because I live in the Baltimore/Washington corridor (Johns Hopkins Alley/UMCP School of Medicine).

Contrary to their bad rap of being know-it-alls in aviation, they are quite humble when it comes to the cello!

Is cello playing a real-world distraction while flying an ILS approach?

This reminds me of that Top Gear episode where they tried to stuff an entire Mariachi Band in the back of various luxury cars, including the singer, and then had them play. Or maybe it was a Tuba player and his band mates. Regardless, very very funny episode.

"That's impossible, they're on instruments"

It's an entirely different kind of flying, all together.

There is an entire band I ran across at the local watering hole (Don Quixote's, Felton, CA) a few years ago, whose promotional photo was taken in front of a gorgeous Bee Gee. It turns out they were all pilots.

They were a very good straight ahead jazz / funk band. I wish I could remember who they were.

I once saw someone playing the guitar while trying to drive down Hwy 85 in a traffic jam. The neck was sticking out the driver's window.

I can't play the trombone in any vehicle without punching the windshield out.....

Challenge 1: After meeting up in Berlin, they are first tasked with driving as quickly as possible down the Autobahn to test top speed. Despite being stymied by traffic, Jeremy manages 142 mph (229 km/h) in the Sierra Cosworth, James manages 140 mph (230 km/h) in the 190E Cosworth, and Richard manages 152 mph (245 km/h) in the M3. They then pull over to test passenger space by escorting a brass band - complete with trombone and tuba - around a town. James returns late due to an overheated engine. The band chooses Richards' M3 as the roomiest despite the protestations of Jeremy, because "it was Bavarian like them".

^^^^^^^

The doors come off too, so you could play the trombone out the side. Mine were off all summer.

I love that show. Top Gear is fantastic.
