Fly-in Camping in the mid-Atlantic.

I want to take my 3 yr old camping for a night. Nothing major. Just fly somewhere, and set up a tent on the field. If there was somewhere to sit by a fire at night and somewhere close to grab breakfast in the morning it would be perfect. Any places like this in Md, Va, Nc, De, Pa, Nj, wv

Montauk, NY......You can Camp at Hither Hills and can have bonfires on the beach

You can camp at grant county airport in WV. Its right next to a river that is supposedly full of trout. They have showers/bathrooms for campers and its 10 bucks a night. W99

Ditto that one... never camped there, but it's a very nice scenic flight from the west.

At vansant they mentioned camping would be ok with permission.... I would give them a call... 9n1. They have outdoor movie night and kids activities as well every month or so. http://vansantairport.com/
