Take your fold up bike next trip and enjoy some of the places I’ve visited, or have found, that are close to airports. Bike trails listed are near airports without excessive riding on two lane roads. I have something in just about every state. The site is free and no ads. Fly and Bike. Enjoy!

One to add: Boscobel, WI is a nice little airport right on the Wisconsin river. And, best yet, you don't even have to bring your bike. They have ebikes in the FBO available to take into town.

Sequim Valley Airport (W28) in Washington State is adjacent to the Olympic Discovery Trail (ODT) for bikes. The ODT is a work in progress, but from Sequim airport, you can ride 14.5 miles west to Port Angeles on a paved trail, separated from car traffic. The trail continues further west, but a long portion is just a painted lane on streets with car traffic. From the Sequim Airport riding east, you can stay on a paved separate trail into the town of Sequim about 4.3 miles before having to share the path with cars. The shared section lasts about 1 mile and then there is another 5 miles of paved trail separated from car traffic. Continuing further east there is a mix of shared and separate trail all the way to Port Townsend. If you have a plane with generous space like my Maule, you don't even need a folding bike. A full sized road, gravel or mountain bike will easily fit in the back.PXL_20250822_182305321.jpg
