Did you fly 10 or more Young Eagles last year. What are you going to use
your credits for?

My EAA Chapter 75 can use them as we are sending at our expense, not one but
three young people to EAA Air Adventure camp at Oshkosh. EAA gives us a
dollar credit towards the $1000 tuition for each Young Eagle credit we turn
in. Your credits are not good for anything else so if your chapter isn't
sending anyone, please consider helping us with our three.

Please send the signed credits to:

Richard Lowe

Davenport, IA 52807

Thanks,

Cy Galley - Chair,
AirVenture Emergency Aircraft Repair
A Service Project of Chapter 75
EAA Safety Programs Editor - TC
EAA Sport Pilot

Tom, if you tell me where my 10 credit certificate(s) went, I'll tell you that I sent them to you. IOW, what "credits"?

Are you a member of EAA?

if so, call the guy.

I am an EAA member. Last year, as an EAA member, I flew 10 Young Eagles. I have yet to hear of any credits or credit program. Call what guy?

As I said, if you can lead me to the credits I'll gladly donate them to your program.

Ed, ythe letter I posted in the lead message, came from the Fairchild web page on Yahoo.

I flew 11 in the last month. I've never heard of any credits, either. I know they keep score, but I've never heard of any credits.

Ed, I questioned the guy on the Fairchild web page about the credits and this was his response.

EAA sends out a certificate at the end of each year telling you how many Young
Eagles you flew if it is more than 10. This certificate when signed by the
pilot can be used to offset the tuition of the air Academy Camps that EAA
holds. A one dollar offset is given for each Young Eagle flown. Chapter 75 is
send 3 young people to this academy this summer... We can use about 1500 flight
credits as a corporation (Jaguar) will provide EAA the dollar up to half the
tuition cost.

Thanks for the clarification, Tom. I'll look for the certificate. If I can't find it (I don't remember receiving one) I'll call EAA Young Eagles and inquire.

I wonder if they credit them to your home chapter?
