Flu - Checkrides cancelled

Other than the skin on fire part, that was the symptoms of the massive sinus infection that immediately followed or started while I still had my flu. Couldn’t really tell. Just ran together.
The skin on fire is intermittent, not there all the time. And more of a paresthesia; it doesn't really hurt, it just feels weird.

So I went to the clinic today to get checked out. Saw a PA as no MDs were available. Was swabbed for influenza... negative. The PA said it could still be flu; apparently the sensitivity of the test is somewhat less than 100%.

But I'm spending the day at home, and tomorrow is my non-teaching day, so I'll probably stay home tomorrow too. Colleagues are taking my classes (how I hate asking them!) The PA said I should stay home until 48 hours without fever. Hmmm... students are told to wait 24 hours. I wonder why the difference?
