I'm looking into doing some work in Florida in the winter and am interested to know how much more flying is done there in the winter then in the summer? I hear that winter is the main flying season (I assume because everyone goes on vacation there at that time), just looking for you guys to confirm this.

Thanks

Well, the weather's much better for flying in the winter generally. No afternoon thunderstorms, cooler drier air gives better performance and better visibility.

I can't speak to the charter business.

I re locate to fla in the fall and winter. Can't speak on the charter business.

It's kinda funny hearing "florida" and "charter work".

Florida has some of the sleaziest charter operators that are infamous for low pay and other nefarious operating techniques.

Go over to propilotworld and do some reading up on the subject.

I have no data. But as VFR only, low time pilot, I prefer winter flying in FL. The weather is far more predictable and it's not 4k degrees in the cockpit.
