You will get the Avare external I/O app. You will load that, set it to port 4000. Connect to the stratux wifi network. Check the listen box. You should see a stream of data *if* you're within the ADS-B puck of an ADS-B out equipped aircraft.

In Avare/Preferences you will go to weather and select "use ADS-B weather."

On your screen you should see blue dots with velocity vectors, their call sign/flight number if applicable, and their altitude above or below you. Those would be other aircraft. The airports should show up as green, blue, purple or red along with the letters "vfr", "mvfr", "IFR", "LIFR" respectively.

Not sure if NEXRAD data gets downloaded.

When you long press the airport it'll show the METAR as usual.

Thanks, ircphoenix for the detailed answer.

Can someone confirm the availability of NEXRAD data?
