I am signed up for flightaware alerts, but I have not received one for VFR flight for quite a while. Just for IFR flights.
Today I received an arrival alert for a VFR flight, but I didn't even request flight following. I departed class Charlie for a class delta about 8nm away. Class C departure handed me off to Delta tower. Was this because I contacted CD at Charlie?
