Hello new to this forum, I was wondering if anybody has experience with the flight training network,(flyftn.com) I was thinking about working as a cfi for them but it’s a new concept to me and I’m unsure of it’s reviews or validity, can’t find much info other than there own website.

I was seeing some stuff about flyFTN.com as well. Did you find out anything more? Also, they seem almost identical to flyNFTN.com, which is a red flag for me.

I attended two of their video call meetings, the guy hosting the video seems nice enough, but it seemed to me like they’re just trying to recruit a bunch of cfi’s to maintain cash flow, basically how it works is there’s three tiers, you have to buy into the network to become a cfi with them, first level is like 150bucks if I remember correctly second is like 500 or something and the third is way more I can’t remember, these are monthly dues basically to be apart of the network, the more you pay the more students/exposure you get to potential students, your basically buying into advertising for yourself as a cfi.

I’m sure it has its benefits and I’m sure somebody out there is making it work for them, I just have not heard any reports from anybody in the network who bought in.

I have worked with them for months, Payment is to help with my advertising, and I have gotten 3 full-time students from them. You have to be active, can't just sit back and wait, you need to be proactive. Doing so will help you bring in students. I have seen people join and not follow instructions, which means you won't get students. The network is to help with acquiring students and networking. I have worked with other instructors as well building time and better each other. I made the mistake by not being active in the beginning and once I started making videos, they help edit them and give you them so you can advertise yourself while they do it as well. The one's that think it is BS is because they just expect to be handed students, and some that do join get students fast because they had students already ready in their area. Also, I have personally seen instructors come that are terrible and are given a student and the student is not happy, so they have started vetting instructors before giving them students. They don't want fresh instructors just like most flight schools, they have increased minimums, they will also help get additional ratings at a good rate, which really helped me get my MEL and MEI.
