I was able to.. ah... "liberate" an older Palm Vx from its previous owner so it no longer has to perform such mundane tasks as storing phone numbers, addresses and To Do lists that are never accomplished. Saw there are lots of different programs for flight planning. Would like something basic and easy to use. VFR only, no tie-in to a GPS, pretty much just weight & balance, density alt. calculations, stuff a wiz wheel can do. Have a portable GPS to handle all the other stuff.

I really don't want to download and test a bunch of different programs if someone knows of a decent basic program. Maybe narrow it down to a few and try them.

Thanks Greg. Co-Pilot seems to do what I want. I'll also try to download the AOPA e-directory and give that a shot.
