So, as a take-off on the various "fill-in-the-state" map people seem to like in their signature lines, I've put together a quick Python script to take a logbook and build a heat-map-style picture. I generally like the way the map looks, and if anyone of the techy/programming variety is interested, I threw the code up on GitHub. If anybody not-computer-inclined really wants a map like this (and already has an electronic logbook of some kind), get in touch and I'll see what I can do.
