Yesterday flying into KAPA at about 1600 on the arrival from the NW (TOMSN) we heard approach telling people there were microburst warnings on every runway at KDEN. KAPA was OK although a storm had just passed over to the east. We took off again for another trip to the Dallas area and coming back home over QUAIL at 1930 there was almost no one on the frequency although the weather had calmed down by then. The controller said that the storms had pretty much shut them down.
