I had the privilege of some stick time in a CAF PT-26 today! She is a WWII veteran, and was built in 1943. Besides the awesome feeling of flying a trainer that was used by the Army to build pilots, she flew beautifully. We flew some lazy eights, steep turns, and did an overhead break. :D:D:D

I'll be joining this CAF wing this week, and hope to learn to fly this bird. The Wisconsin wing also has an SNJ. :yesnod::yes:

OK, maybe not to cool factor of Geico's P-51, but still a thrill.

Cool. Fun airplane. I've been fortunate enough to fly several Fairchild PTs.

It's always fun when you can fly several older aircraft.

Nice. I get to fly a PT-19 and always leave the plane with a smile.

That's awesome. PT-17s are a dime a dozen, but getting to fly a PT-26, that's priceless!
