Touchdown! Greaser!
A few impressions from an Oshkosh veteran who's a first-timer at Sun 'n' Fun...
* The show is a LOT smaller than I thought it'd be. I was expecting something that was at least 3/4 the size of Oshkosh. Not even close - It's bigger than AOPA Expo/Summit, but it's much closer in size to AOPA than it is to OSH. I guess that's why they can get away with landing one runway with only two dots. (OSH has 2 runways and 5 dots.)
* Several of the vendors I wanted to talk to aren't here. It seems like OSH has pretty much everybody, but only the die-hards come to SnF.
* It would take me six weeks or so to see everything I want to see at OSH, so I'm busy the whole week. At SnF, I've seen nearly everything in only a day. That can be a good thing though, it'll give me time to wash the plane while watching the airshow and sit and BS with my friends a lot.
