You can pretend it never happened and hope you don't get caught (good luck if the FAA ever has a reason to go digging). Or you can go through the whole expensive and time consuming "Prove to the FAA's satisfaction that it was all a big mistake" routine. Or you can fly under the sport pilot rules.
If you choose the second option, get your ducks in order before you attempt an FAA physical and shoot yourself in the foot.
I recommend option 3.
