I often wonder, wouldn't it just be cheaper to build the aircraft in one location? I get they spread the plants out for political gain, but what does it costs to develop and operate the equipment to move sections of aircraft from one plant to another.

That’s how they keep acquisition costs high so the average guy can’t afford one. Otherwise the skies would be all full up with aero planes, son.
