Firefox won't stop loading

Lately when I open Firefox the pages seem to just keep loading. The little circle in the upper right hand corner that spins when pages load just keeps going around and around and around and It doesn't stop when I click on the stop loading page. It doen't seem to effect the content the page though. I'm just wondering if there's something going on in the background that I don't know about.

Anyone else having this problem?

On all pages? It's usually some scummy advertising or tracking site that is tellign you it has an image that it it can't upload fast enough. Take a look at the status bar to see what URL is being downloaded.

You can always hit the stop button when you have the content you want.
