On the 9th of December 2006 I passed my private pilot checkride. Today, the 9th of February I recieved my private pilot license in the mail.

YYYYIIIIPPPPPPEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

The wait wasn't as bad as I though.

Congrats! I just got my Ground Instructor CERTIFICATE (for Ed) today. I only turned in the 8710 on January 3rd.

Congrats Brook!!! I was excited when I got mine too. My PPL was the old paper style and when I got my IR it was the current plastic version.

I keep both my certificate and my medical in my wallet so that if I ever have an unexpected opportunity to fly, I can take it.

As do I. Medical and certificate in my wallet. The medical is starting to look pretty crappy but I'll be up for another one in December.
