Finally bought my Sailplane

As I posted previously I went to New York state in December, looked at a Blanik L-23, & committed to buy it. I sent the final payment today & got the insurance going.

It comes with a fully-enclosed trailer & am taking bids on uShip to get it out here. 2,700 miles.

I haven't been in a glider for 20 years so I can't wait to fly it.

I will be giving dual & glider rides in it. It will be a workhorse.

I'm having scotch to celebrate.

You mentioned your wife took a few hours of dual. Is she training to be your tow pilot?

Good thought. Originally, she only wanted to learn to land the plane but the more we fly the more interested she becomes. We'll see where it all goes.

She has moments of air sickness now & then so I'm not sure how well she'll do in the glider. A glider in turbulence is less choppy than an airplane but more of a rolling motion like a boat.

It's all fun either way!
