Sorry I had to state fiction at the beginning, because this story (sadly) is nothing but pure fiction.

In 2013, everyday will be CAVU - you can forget about getting actual in 13, it ain't gonna happen.
In 2013, there will be no stupid pilot tricks
In 2013, there will be no pilot deviations
In 2013, there will be no runway incursions
In 2013, there will be no mechanical failures

What else would be needed to make an incident free 2013?

NAS shutdown again for everything smaller than an airliner shaped cruise missile.

NEWS FLASH

December 9th, 2012, the crew of the International Space Station broadcasted that all known living inhabitants of Earth were wiped out in a escalated nuclear war triggered by the refusal of North Korea's demand to have a Starbuck's chain opened in Pyongyang.

I'm willing to put money on it that I'll be here on 12/13/12...and 12/22/12 (in case that was a typo)

Apple's 3D maps will eliminate the need to perform travel in the first place.

I use to know a guy who said displaying a 3D map on the computer screen is the equivalent of going anywhere such as hiking or travel. The scary bit is that I really think he actually believed what he was saying. Everything that was between home and the destination was an extreme inconvenience. He's in his 40's now and I bet he's still sitting at home playing video games and going to science fiction conventions.

Seriously. And the only other replacement you would need only requires a 12V air compressor.

Or the more realistic alternative:

The last message to the crew of the ISS from the now defunct NASA was "Effective immediately, you're on your own. Jump, it's your only way to get back down here."
