Up for discussion, specific to Florida.

Given -If you rent an aircraft in Florida and it is not used for instructional purposes then you have to pay sales tax on the income that is generated on the use of that aircraft. For example, if you rent it for $100/ hour, you have to pay the state of Florida $7.00.

Would this still apply if the aircraft was rented in Florida, but let's say flew to the Bahamas for a month and accrued 20 hours of flight time while out of the country? Would you still ahve to collect $140 in sales tax?

Yes, you have to pay the Florida sales tax just like you would if you rented a car in Florida and drove it to Canada for a month.

Florida wants all your money,no income tax but sales tax on every sale.
