Piper Navajo carrying two people crashed yesterday morning. Article says the tower saw smoke coming out and couldn't get them to talk.
Makes me think maybe an electrical fire?
Sad even none the less with both occupants being fatal.
I was actually thinking about flying up there yesterday morning but with the chance of thunderstorms later in the day I decided not to.

Sad, it's been a bad couple of weeks for GA.

So because there was a post crash fire is it safe to *assume* there was plenty of fuel?
*I use the term assume very lightly here. Not sure if speculate is a better term or not.

Knew the pilot well and familiar with the company. Interesting to see what the NTSB uncovers. Lots of speculation around here with little info.

My condolences. I hope my comments didn't offend you.

Didn't offend me at all.

I believe that dissecting these events are important to improving our chances of surviving crashes as well as preventing us from getting into these situations.
