Is anyone noticing a shorter active battery life since upgrading to iOS 6?

On my ipad2 and iPhone 4 I am observing the need to plug it in more frequently.

I have checked various known power thieves in the settings, but I'm still noticing a faster power drain.

The phone especially.

I can't decide if its the iOS change or if the battery has just been through beaucoup full and partial cycles. (Normal Lithium Ion death cycle.) So yes, seeing a little less time but not a huge amount.

Oh, for me that's phone only. iPad seems totally normal.

iPad 4G (VZ) for a lot of data will not only hit the battery hard, but actually heats the device up in your hand.

Working that hard as a space heater takes a toll. But I don't find it abnormal.

Another iOS 6 glitch: My iPhone 4 suddenly stopped receiving wi-fi. In Settings, it says wi-fi is 'off', and the wi-fi on-off button is greyed out.

This means the iPhone can't get information from the Stratus ADS-B box, which requires a wi-fi connection.

Apparently this bug is affecting a lot of people:

I have an appointment at the Apple store later this morning; we'll see how they handle it. At the very least I'd want them to revert the phone to iOS 5. So far this hasn't affected my iPad 2, but there's no saying it won't.

If you haven't yet upgraded to iOS 6 .... DON'T!!!!

Ipad3...no change. Definitely faster processing and more reliable 3G connection. Siri is nice too.

I have yet to jump on the iThing bandwagon, but a friend noticed much shorter battery life on her phone with 6. Don't remember which version of phone it was, though.
