My good friend Dave just got his new to him G1000/A36 and invited me for a ride. We climbed to 10500 ft to check the performance numbers. After 5 minutes a really bad fart odor came in. Trying to be polite I didn't say anything to my friend about his fart. But it was so bad that I had to pull a hankie. My friend on the other hand asked me what I had for lunch, blaming on me for the fart odor. I told him there is only two of us in this plane and for sure was not me so it has to be you. He argue the same thing and said that I fart worse than Obama. The odor became more intense and he asked me if I had discharged. I told him of course not but you need to evacuate before this becomes a real emergency. José you just has crewed my new plane he said. He turn around and made a quick descent to the airport.
After we landed we look at each other rear end for any signs. The cabin smell still there. While picking up the tow bar in the baggage area he noticed a plastic bag behind the tool box. The bag contained dead fish (one week). Apparently the sealed bag burst at altitude and let the rotten fish smell out. Later on he found that the previous owner wife bought fish at Key West but forgot about it.
After the finding we laugh at each other and hug.
