Recently got checked out in our clubs 150. Last time I flew one was over thirty years ago.

What a nice flying, honest, easy airplane. I can see why it has been a favorite for a long, long time. I might even like it better than my beloved Remos - the airplane I was flying previous to this. The Remos is more modern feeling, but the 150 is like an old, easy to get along with friend. There are no secrets, you can just be comfortable.

:)

I miss the 152 I trained in. I got checked out in a 172 to take friends flying (most non-aviation aficionados don't want to fly in something as small as a 152). But I miss flying so cheaply and easily.

The 150/152 just feels different, almost like it's a kind of lighter take on the 172. It's simple. It's not full of gadgets and it's not heavy. It's just cheap, fun flying.

+1 on that, I wanted to fly the 172 after I got my license for the fact its bigger, faster, and easier to take pax for rides in. I really like both, but did just about my whole PPL in the 152 and really enjoyed it!

I love the 150/152. Nicer with the 150HP mod for our high DA in summer temps. Aviat Aircraft is reconditioning the C-150, the next AOPA give away plane.

Expensive after Aviat has done their magic. But any good C-150 can be had for $25-30K

But I'm biased, I learned in brand new 1974 C-150s and enjoyed the new 152 when it came out.

I love my little 150. I have access too and fly HP singles, turbo props and jets, but still love the little 150.

If it acted up I might sell it, but half a shot of primer and a starts on the second revolution of the prop every time. Damn this is the most reliabke thing I own.

43 years ago this summer I borrowed my dad's C-150E to take a young lady for an airplane ride.

She must have liked it. She's still flying with me.
