Fall Colors Flight over Catskills/Hudson Valley, NY

Fall flying in New England is spectacular!

Over the weekend, we flew from Rhode Island to Montauk, NY - then a grass strip in the Hamptons on Shelter Island --- to the Hudson Valley in Upstate New York. The colors are just about peaking and we got some great photos and videos crossing the mountains there.

I used the sony action cameras for the wing tips and got some great video flying over the Catskills, Ill edit and post shortly.

Great pictures, thanks for reminding us that the rest of the world is actually pretty cool, or pretty AND cool. (pun intended ... here it comes ... wait for it)
It is hazy, ugly, smoky, brown, yellow and hot here (101F on Monday, "only" 98F today). Eagerly awaiting winter time when we can finally venture outside to do some fun stuff.

I totally agree. I posted a similar thread about fall flying in New England based on a similar flight experience I had last weekend. It is just amazingly pretty.

Leaves are just about all off the Aspens here.... Been a nice warm fall..

Now I am ready for 10' of the white stuff....
