Limited details at the moment.

Fire/Rescue was dispatched at 12:46 Arizona time for a flight inbound with an emergency; reported at 1:00 Arizona time that an aircraft has crashed at the airport with 1 patient with injuries.
 
Sounds like the other airplane involved stayed in orbit to confirm the other party was okay... it sounds like the other party only had minor injuries.

So, initially - it sounds like there was a midair clipping. One plane apparently did not make a clean landing (not sure if short or whatnot) and I'm assuming the other landed safely at KCHD.
 
The article is written that FD confirmed as colliding in air, but confirmed it was not a midair crash.

So, perhaps a runway hit? The audio definitely makes it sound like two aircraft were involved.
 
Sounded like a flight (formation) of at least 4 airplanes, two in the same flight "touched wings", both declared and landed. One of the non-contact airplanes flew back with the second mishap airplane, the other non-contact airplane departed the airspace to wait for the field to reopen.
