FAA/TSA: New Student Pilot Certificate Process

I just read that the FAA is adding another layer of complexity for student pilots. Apparently student pilot certificates will now have to come from the FAA after TSA background checks have been performed... as opposed to the traditional paper certificate issued by a DME. The article states this new rule is to take effect April 1st 2016.

There's always another thread if you go back far enough, why people get upset is beyond me,if you don't want to answer the thread again ,just ignore it.
 
Hopefully, whatever forum software Pilots of America switches to will have a more capable search feature.

You do realize Google indexes nearly everything here almost instantly, right? Just limit the search to this site and you're all set.
