they've shortened runways (remember when the FAA required runway overruns be added to the ends of runways? - well the idiots did it by shortening the runways.. AFTER they had modified the runways for highspeed turn offs - think that one through...) they've allowed construction (outside of the airport) that prevented a runway from being built (which would have usable by smaller aircraft instead of taking up runway capacity on the long runways)
