FAA: $1.9M Fine for Unlawful UAS ("DRONE") Operations

Well, now.

The FAA has proposed a fine of $1.9 Million for "Sky Pan International," in connection with their repeated violation of the FARs in their operation of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).

That oughta get some attention.

You can also see, in the article, a link to a waiver the same operator has gotten for future operations. The imposed operational requirements are not trivial.
