Sounds like it was out on the range. A lot of low level maneuvering goes on out there, and air to air. Hope the pilot got out and is ok.

News is now reporting the pilot was killed, while flying a Thunderbird practice. No name as of now, though confirmed T-bird pilot. Sorry to hear, rough 24 hours for military aviation
