F-104 ride video

Those guys really Really REALLY suck!!
I've always thought the Starfighter was the coolest looking
jet fighter with the coolest name.
I'd practically give my right arm for a ride in one!!!
....at Mach 2!!
I read that those people will give you a ride in a Starfighter
to the edge of space, 80,000 feet.....for a mere $30,000.
...a small price to pay for a ride in "The missile with a man in it".
Damn! I gotta win the lottery!

30 grand???

Yeah, it's a one-of-a-kind experience, but that still seems a little outrageous. If you have a PPL and current medical, you can actually fly a T-33 from the front seat at $2700/hr.

Collings Foundation will let you fly their TA-4J for about $7k/hr. Not sure what the F-4 runs, but it ain't 30K.

barely covers the fuel burn

at "military thrust" that works out to ~10,000lbs/hr, over twice that in A/B

Probably a dumb question, but is that a special VSI for climb to the left of the altimiter (does not appear to be working)?

I watched all the way to the end, just to see if they really did go "thud" when they landed
