has anyone experienced this and what is outcome

if your question is whether anyone has experienced eye floaters, yes. Most people do, eventually.

If I look at a bright background I see crooked black fibers floating about. They are no factor in passing a vision test (I am better than 20-20), nor in seeing obstacles on runways, reading approach plates, or anything like that.

I have them and can see them occasionally, usually if i think about it, however i usually dont notice them during flying.

Here I thought they were ghosts :hairraise:

Glad to clear that up...

I think we all see them. I do too. But my sister noticed a huge increase in them in the days leading to her detached retina. Just conjecture but maybe it's one of those things that isn't significant unless it suddenly changes.

Regular eye exams,to make sure you don't have any major changes. Shouldn't affect your passing the eye test.

Hi Gizmo.

If they are significant, I would recommend a trip to the ophthalmologist. When you report the ophthalmologist visit at your medical exam, you will have to have a "Full Humphreys" test and a report from the ophthalmologist.

Depends on what's causing them. Get examined by an eye doc, and then discuss the results with an AME.

When I first got 'em I reported it on the next class III physical, got a letter back from O K city requesting a report from the eye doctor on my condition which I sent in and heard no more about the matter.
