Return of the Experimental Balloon and Airship Meet Post Mills Airport

Return of the Experimental Balloon and Airship Meet
Post Mills Airport, Post Mills, VT
May 16, 17, 18, 2014
After a 13 year rest, the EBAA (Experimental Balloon and Airship Association) once again invites creators, owners, and those interested in experimental, homemade, and ultralight balloons and airships to gather in May. Besides flying and static displays of these aircraft, the gathering will be a place to share ideas, discoveries, inventions, techniques, and sources. Anyone with access to an experimental, homemade, or ultralight balloon is welcome to bring it and fly it. Anyone with interest in these aircraft is welcome to come and learn more. The aim is to celebrate this educational and economical way to fly and the hands-on “I made it myself” approach. The EBAA Museum and its collection of 138 balloons, airships and other Rusty Dusty stuff will also be open for visitors. In addition to documenting Brian Boland’s 44 years of balloon experimentation, the Museum serves as a shelter where old balloons, components, artifacts, and other memorabilia are saved from landfills, collapsing barns, and neglect.
Propane will be available at a reduced price. There is NO admission or parking fees for participants or spectators. Space is available for camping on-site and a limited number of accommodations on site are available for a modest charge. Please contact Brian or Tina at Post Mills Airport (802-333-9254 or balloons@vermontel.net) to reserve on-site space or Steve at 802-295-8774 for information about other nearby lodging.

See you in May!
