Wonder how accurate the MH-53 count is and I wonder if they are counting hangar queens. Seems a little high considering recent losses.
 
I'm surprised to see so many helicopters.

Also, I think each aircraft carrier should carry one Hellcat and one Dauntless, just for old times sake. :D
 
I feel bird dogs were under represented.
 
Not one "Ford" on that whole chart. That's just sad. :sad:

I expected a lot more.

But I noticed there are no Marine aircraft included (it was pointed out in his blog).
 
One of HSC-84's 60s is missing a tail pylon and the main rotor. Hopefully it's been fixed by now. :D

Having grown up on a lot of naval bases, one of the most fun things to do was go down to the airplane bone yard. I could spend hours there.
